The City of Klagenfurt has set up an Equal Treatment Advisory Committee especially for disabled persons. The board has an advisory function and was set up to help in the implementation of the Behindertengleichstellungsgesetzes (the act on the equal treatment of disabled persons). It is made up of members of various organisations in Klagenfurt who represent people with disabilities. The Equal Treatment Advisory Committee deals with a number of areas such as transport, structural and civil engineering, information and school and education.
